This weeks workouts were a little scrambled. My schedule was a little crazy this week and I ended up working out at a different gym every day! We went to a powerlifting gym in Brooklyn, NY with our friends that was pretty cool. It was no frills and only had powerlifting equipment like squat racks, benches, and deadlifting platforms. It was a lot different than Lifetime Fitness, but I had a great workout. Stay tuned for a post on where we ate after the workout.
This gym was called S&S Barbell in Brooklyn. I’ve never squatted without mirrors before, the wall in front of me was signed by famous power lifters. Also, all of the plates were in kilograms which I’m not used to.
Monday:
- Total off day
Tuesday:
- Bench: 105# 5×5
- Shoulder press: 55# 4×8

- Superset: lateral raise with 5# plate (these are hard)
- Cable rear delt fly: 20# 5×8
Wednesday
- Squat: 155# 5×7
- Deadlift: 185# 5×5
Thursday
- Total off day
Friday
- Bench: 105# 5×5
- Incline Bench: 75# 4×5
- Landmine Press: 10# 4×8 (this isn’t as scary as it sounds)

- Superset: Lateral raise with 5# plate (these are hard)
Saturday:
- Squat: 155# 5×5
- Deadlift: 200# 5×2
- Sumo Deadlift: 135# 5×8
Sunday:
- Dumbbell Bench Press: 30# 5×8
- Dumbbell Twist Press: 20# 5×8
- Skull Crusher: 25# 4×10
- Bicep Curl: 15# 4×8
- Overhead Tri: 25# 4×10
- Abs
