The Beer Garage Park Slope

Hi friends, welcome back! I was recently invited to check out Wild BK’s sister bar, the Beer Garage in the Brooklyn neighborhood Park Slope. The Beer Garage used to be an auto shop, but in 2020 the new owners wanted a beer garden concept for the neighborhood, so they converted the space into a casual bar. The interior can squeeze about 50 people and they also have outdoor seating. We found a table outside on a gorgeous fall afternoon.

The menu features finger foods and locally sourced craft beer, wine, sangria, and Prosecco. I’ve been slowly starting to appreciate the taste of craft beer so we had fun trying out different ones here. The first round started with a Braven Hazy IPA for Jon, and I picked the Montauk Pumpkin Ale – are you surprised ha!

For an appetizer, we ordered homemade guacamole with rainbow chips – these tasted delicious and fresh.

To wash down our meal we both ordered a Catskill Hazy IPA.

Jon and I split a burger and pizza for our entrees. The Beer Garage uses the Wild BK kitchen, so I believe all of the pizzas are on gluten free crust.

BG’S Famous Burger – Angus Beef, Cheddar, Onion Rings, Fries. I believe they use a gluten free bun which isn’t as good as a brioche bun, but this burger still tasted great.

Three Little Pigs – Prosciutto, Pepperoni, Bacon, Tomato Sauce, Mustard, Arugula, Mozzarella. I personally didn’t like the mustard seeds in the pizza so I picked them off, but otherwise it tasted really good.

I loved spending the afternoon at the Beer Garage, I had such a fun time! The atmosphere is so relaxing and chill, the service was excellent, and the food tasted great. They also have a location in the West Village that has a larger food menu I’d like to try out. I’d highly recommend checking out the Beer Garage in Park Slope!

  1. Compared to the pizzas you we usually see, this one seems decidedly healthier. Prosciutto, pepperoni, AND bacon? Okay, maybe not 🙂

    1. Hahah it definitely seemed healthier in our minds. At least the size isn’t so crazy as our usual pizzas 🙂
