Macy’s Flower Show NYC 2026

Hi friends, welcome back! Continuing with my floral finds around NYC, I headed to Macy’s for their 51st Annual Flower Show. This year they partnered with Valentino Beauty to showcase the theme “Homegrown—our celebration of America’s 250th anniversary expressed through flowers, fiber & timeless handicrafts. Take a journey through our greenhouse-inspired installations where we’ve reimagined decorative stained glass, latticed windowpanes, rattan fixtures, white picket fences & more elements that are traditionally seen in home gardens and backyards.” The show starts outside in Herald Square (located on Broadway between 34th & 35thSt) where the façade and windows have been transformed into scenes of spring.

Upon entering the store you’re greeted with an extravagantly colorful display and some welcome aromas.

You can view the floral displays throughout the beauty department and the mezzanine level above. Each state was represented with a unique birdhouse.

Upstairs on the mezzanine level there were different rooms for each Valentino fragrance. I was the only one up there at the time so I got an impromptu VIP tour of the rooms and scents. On select days you can sign up for a guided twenty-five-minute tour.

Lego is also a sponsor of the flower show. I wonder how long and how many people this took.

  1. Wow, it’s so extravagant! I can’t imagine how long it took them to build not just the Lego one, but all of it. So many flowers and some of those displays are pretty intricate.

    1. I was impressed by how extravagant it was, they didn’t cut any corners!

  2. Wow, this looks like an immersive and visually stunning experience that captures the spirit of spring in the middle of the city, dear Lyssy. I love those elaborate installations and themed window displays that are just so beautiful and colourful. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

    1. It was a wonderfull event! It was great to see all the colors and displays after our long winter.

  3. You have outdone yourself with this flowery post Lyssy. So much beauty in this Macy’s presentation. A good way to keep department stores attractive and viable in this age of Amazon. Thanks so much for sharing. Allan

    1. Thank you! I had almost forgotten about the flower show when I was making my spring plans. They did a great job drawing people into the store.

  4. There’s a lot to love here, Lyssy. I’m giving Macy’s a virtual pat on the back for acknowledging our country’s 250th (esp. with those state birdhouses – clever). The window displays are outstanding, and the architect in me loves the contrast between the floral art and the urban reflections. If I had to choose one favorite I’d go with the very first one. That maiden’s upward gaze is captivating. I’m also wondering who thought up the bright green “wrapping paper” adorning the window frames and awnings. Should’ve been violet instead of green, right? Is “Born In Roma” the label for a line of fragrances? Finally, I have to wonder where all this decor goes when it’s taken down in a couple of weeks. My hope is that Macy’s has a massive warehouse where it can put everything to bed, to be revived years from now when we’ve all lost the memory of this particular display.

    1. They really did a fantastic job and a display worthy of the country’s 250th birthday. The first window is one of my favorites too. I am particular to violet 🙂 Yes, Born in Roma is their fragrance line name. I’m not much of a perfume wearer, but they did smell pretty good. It would be cool if Macys made a museum with prior window displays.

  5. Wow, what a showstopper! Macy’s definitely doesn’t shy away from going all-out. Love the colors and design, Lyssy!

    1. I knew it would be a great show, but they really exceeded my expectations!

  6. It all looks beautiful Lyssy. I particularly liked the display containing the bird nesting boxes as for Christmas I bought my husband a nesting box with integrated camera as he is keen on bird watching. We can all follow goings-on on our phone app.

    1. I have seen those bird houses and they look like a lot of fun! I always enjoy watching my parents birdhouse when I’m in town, but the squirrel always tries to eat all the seeds.

    1. The show really exceeded my expectations! It was pretty busy after opening so I can only imagine how it is as the day goes on.

    1. The window designers must be very busy between the flower show and Christmas displays! They do a great job.

  7. Wow, wow, wow! I LOVE everything about this… I think I might even like their flower show more than their Christmas displays.

    1. Their flower show almost seems more elaborate than their Christmas displays. Their designers sure do a great job!

  8. How beautiful! There must be several stuff working full time on all the different displays and holiday themes at Macy’s. And what a treat for you to be able to enjoy them. Maggie

  9. Aw how beautiful!! Though that theme is quite a mouthful. I would really love to go to this, as you know I am an avid gardener and I would love to go around and identify all the plants – I always wonder with these events what they do with all the flowers afterwards, I hope they aren’t all just thrown in the bin.
