Hi friends! I did lots of exploring in the south this weekend and am sharing part 1 with you today. We had such a great time and the weather was just as good! It was also nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of NYC. Jon and I flew to Savannah very early Friday morning for a long weekend before Thanksgiving. We decided to make the trip because it was close to Atlanta where we are spending Thanksgiving, and Jon’s sister goes to school there.
The airport was so bright and sunny. We escaped a winter storm and the cold in NYC for some nice weather in Savannah.
We stayed at the Hyatt Andaz and it was in a great location, and the room was very comfortable, I’d highly recommend.
We ate lunch at Flying Monk Noodle Bar. I got Ramen Noodles that were really good and Jon got a Pho Combo and a Thai Latte. All the places we are at were about $10-$15 dollars, so it was very affordable compared to NYC and Boston.
We walked along River Street which is right along the river. They had a lot of cute shops and restaurants.
The stairs we had to walk down to get to River Street were very intense!
We stopped in a candy store for some Pecan and Praline samples that were delicious!!
Here are some views of the river.
For dinner we went to Vinnie Van Go-Go’s and got some pizza to go. It was delicious! We were so exhausted from our day we were asleep by 10!
Thanks for the ideas. We are going to Savannah in February. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Great post 😁
