A Weekend in Savannah, Georgia – Part 2

Today I’m sharing the rest of my Savannah, Georgia trip! In case you missed it, you can check out my first day here.

Our first morning in Savannah we went to the Little Duck Café for brunch and it was amazing! It was right next door to our hotel and I’d highly recommend it!

It was a newer diner and I got the Little Duck in Paris which was scrambled eggs, French toast, and bacon. It was SO GOOD!! I was definitely full all day from this.IMG_5388

Jon got the Biscuit Sandwich and said it was the best breakfast sandwich he’s ever had. I had a bite and I would agree!IMG_5390.jpg

After brunch we walked along the historic area. There are all these little squares throughout Savannah that are really cute. Jon’s sister Brooklyn gave us a tour of the city and showed us all the good spots and places to eat. DSC_0021.jpgDSC_0017DSC_1092DSC_1084.JPG

They filmed the Forest Gump bench scene in one of these squares.

It was the perfect day for some exploring!

We took a break from exploring and stopped for coffee at Foxy Loxy. I got a latte that was very pretty and tasty.

For dinner we went to Tequila’s Town and had to have a margarita.

I ordered chicken tacos and Jon got carnita tacos. These were really good and had fresh ingredients. It reminded me a little of Barrio in Downtown Plymouth.

After dinner we got ice cream at Leonard’s which is rated in the top five ice cream shops in the world! I got the Carmel Swirl in a cone and it was really good! My all time favorite is still Ritter’s.

We really liked Savannah and how walkable and affordable it was. I’d say that a weekend is the perfect time to spend in Savannah. Next week I’ll be posting about our day trip to Charleston, SC so stay tuned 🙂
