Hi friends! I had the best birthday weekend in Michigan, but it was so jam packed I feel like a need a vacation from my vacation! On my actual birthday I woke up to a bunch of birthday texts and a little surprise from my dad. He always gets us lottery tickets and puts them on a balloon outside our door, but this year there was a helium shortage, so he hung a birthday banner and lottery tickets from my bedroom door. Very clever!
Jon and I started the day by going to Red Dot Coffee, one of my favorite things to do. I got the cold brew and Jon got a latte. Afterwards I got my free Starbucks and it was a cold brew the size of my head!
We went golfing afterwards and it was our first time out for the year so we were getting a lot of rust out. It was such a beautiful day and felt so amazing to get some vitamin D and fresh air.
My forever golf partner.
We worked up quite an appetite and stopped for chicken shawarmas at Tahini for lunch.
We stopped at my grandma’s for a nice visit, but unfortunately I don’t have any pictures. For my birthday dinner we went to Barrio with my parents and sister and I got a margarita and mahi mahi tacos, the usual. Jon got the enchiladas and they looked pretty tasty.
My Aunt Linda and Uncle Ken came over to celebrate and have some of my mom’s famous caramel cake. They also finally got meet Jon! I think they liked him 😉
It was the perfect birthday! I’m so excited for all that’s to come this year, it’s going to be a very special year having my wedding and honey moon. I’ll be sharing the second part of my crazy, busy, birthday weekend in Michigan this week so stay tuned 🙂
Looks like a fun birthday!!! Happy Birthday 🎉
Thank you!!
