Fluers de Villes Hudson Yards NYC 2026

Hi friends, welcome back! I was feeling adventurous after the Macy’s flower show, so I headed to Hudson Yards to see another floral display. For the past few years, the mall at Hudson Yards hosts Fluers de Villes, a traveling floral show. The theme this year was Flora, a fashion forward celebration of spring couture in bloom. The event featured fourteen local floral designers all showcasing their unique interpretation of the theme. I was highly impressed!

Below is a snippet from each of the signs near the designs of the artist explaining their creation and some materials used.

“Our mannequin explores fungi and mycelium as a metaphor for how spring truly begins. Mushrooms, orchids, and woven roots are layered among florals and botanical life to evoke underground networks and unseen growth. The piece reflects the earliest hints of spring, when life is forming and gathering strength beneath the surface before it emerges”  Jahmadi Riascos, Underground Flora

“Our fashion-forward mannequin is defined by bright colors, bringing a bold spring energy to the design. Banana leaves shape the bodice and continue through the lower dress, where they are paired with roses, carnations, and hydrangeas. I was incredibly impressed by all the designs! If I had to pick a favorite it would be the one by Alexis Denise Floral Designs. The show was in NYC from April 24^th through May 3^rd and will be in Chicago, Vancouver, Nashville, and Northern California next.  You can check out the details on their website here.
