Hi friends, Happy Halloween and welcome back to the conclusion of spooky season on my blog! I hope you are doing something fun today to celebrate, we plan on going to our friends for a haunted happy hour and end the day watching Hocus Pocus.
While showing my parents the West Village this past weekend, we saw so many homes decorated! Next year I’ll do a full tour, but here are a few of the best decorations I saw.
This was one of my favorites, I thought it was cute and clever.
While we were in the West Village we also saw a tribute to Matthew Perry outside his apartment on Friends.
We also walked through Chelsea Market and they did a great job decorating too. I mistakenly thought they only decorated for Christmas, but now I’ve got some new activities for my Halloween Bucket List next year.
The line to take a picture with this pumpkin arch at the Seaport District must’ve been thirty people deep.
I made good use of my Halloween charcuterie board.
Last but not least, we enjoyed some spooky Baked by Melissa cupcakes.
Hope you enjoyed the spooktacular fall fun on my blog this season! Have a Happy Halloween!
The Halloween decorations are fabulous, very tastefully done. Sad but sweet seeing the tributes to Matthew Perry, taken far too soon.
I loved seeing even more decorations, they were so fun! It is a sad, but sweet tribute.
Again with the creepy characters, Lyssy. The faceless hooded ghouls (or whatever you’d label them) in the third photograph haunt me a little. Originality Award to the Ken and Barbie. Touching to see the tribute to Matthew Perry (didn’t know he had a place in NYC). Finally, looks like you included Snack Factory’s Pretzel Crisps on your charcuterie board, which are really good and ever-so-slightly more healthy than real pretzels. Happy Halloween to you & Jon!
They are a little eerie, they remind me of the dementors in Harry Potter. The tribute is the building they used as the exterior shot of their apartment on the show I believe. Those pretzel crisps are addicting! The parmesan garlic are my favorite, but a little much for a board.
I like the way that all the Halloween decorations are tastefully done and your charcuterie board looks great especially with your artistic design on the Brie!
They did a great job with the Halloween decorations! Thank you, I had a lot of fun making that board 🙂
Happy Halloween! Your article makes me realise that I never thought of checking out the Friends building, I’ll have to make a note of that for next time.
Happy Halloween! There’s always something new to see in NYC, that was my first time seeing it.
People never cease to amaze me with their creativity – and money spent on decorations! The apple picking skeleton is very clever and fun. Our neighborhood doesn’t do up Halloween like that, but I wish they would. Your charcuterie boards looked amazing, and so do those cupcakes! Happy Halloween!!
People are so creative! Storing all that takes up valuable closet space too. It’s fun for everyone when people go all out. We did have some yummy Halloween treats and charcuterie board 🙂 Happy Halloween!
The pumkin arch is the winner. They are all nice though. Most creative- my vote is the Barbies.
The arch is very pretty, especially with the river in the background. The Barbies are creative and fun.
How nice that you could tour your parents around the area Lyssy. Looks like some great spirit in the neighbourhood. Thanks for sharing and Happy Hallowe’en. Allan
They had a blast seeing my city, and I was pretty exhausted after being a tour guide 🙂 Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween! 🎃
Happy Halloween!!
Loved the tour! Happy Halloween 🎃 cupcakes look yummy
Thanks for the tour, Lyssy and greetings for a bewitching Halloween! May it be filled with wonder and joy. Aiva 🙂 xx
Happy Halloweeeen – what a perfect tour to mark the occasion 🙂
Happy Halloween, Lyssy! I love seeing how intensely you guys in the US celebrate Halloween, and I always wish people would do it too here in Europe, but sadly it is not a thing yet – maybe one day though! This year, I decorated my house with autumn colours and bought candy for kids in my building but no one came – which is not unusual here as going trick-or-treating is not really a thing – so I have plenty of candy to eat myself ahah!
Beautiful post ✉️
Hocus Pocus is one of my all-time favourite movies. I try to watch it every year around Halloween. I LOVE your Halloween charcuterie board! How cute!!
I love all the Halloween decorations! Also, your charcuterie board looks awesome!
