Hi friends, welcome back! I meant to post this last week, but I was enjoying my time in Germany too much to open my laptop 🙂 August was a wonderful month starting with celebrating my birthday, spending time in Michigan with our families, two quick weeks in NYC, and then we flew to Munich to start our amazing Germany trip. The year seems like it’s flying by, but I’m very excited for my favorite time of the year, fall and the holiday season.

On to my post 🙂 I’ve been linking up with my first blogger I ever read, Shay Shull, for my What’s Up posts. Each month I’m answering the following questions:
What I’m eating: I shared my Foodie Friday post recently, some of the highlights of August include Greek food, ice cream, and a cronut.
What I’m reminiscing about: with college football starting back up, I’m reminiscing about my time at the MSU tailgates and cheering on my Spartans! It was always so fun having the first game of the season on a Friday night under the lights and being back with all my friends on campus.
What I’m loving: our trip to Germany was incredible! It was even more beautiful than I expected and I can’t wait to share more soon 🙂 Here’s a sneak peek!
Favorite post of the month: I’m picking our time at the Tower of London. I thought this was such a cool place to explore!
What I’m Up to: we’re back from Germany and a tiny bit jet lagged, but we are getting back into our routine and looking forward to all the fall fun ahead. I also need to go to Central Park before the leaves start to change color for a summer tour. This summer was so hot and busy that I haven’t been yet except for our free CP photo shoot!
What I’m working on: so much blog content! I am planning to share Germany pretty quickly because it’ll be a lot more pictures than words compared to my Paris/London posts, and then I’ll have Montreal and Newport ready for January when it’s gloomy and cold.
What I’m excited about: all the fall things! After Labor Day is when fall starts for me and I’m excited to put my pumpkins out, watch football, go apple picking, and not sweat when I go outside
What I’m watching/reading: we watched Lightyear and thought it was cute! We loved Only Murders in the Building, Virgin River, and Moon Knight (Marvel show). We thought the new Dr. Strange movie was just ok.
Books I read this month:
- Rivals by Katharine Mcgee
- One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle
- The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
- Out of the Clear Blue Sky by Kristan Higgins
What I’m doing this weekend: watching some college football and going to an in-person yoga class at the Peloton studio!
What I’m looking forward to next month: we’re spending time in Atlanta celebrating Jon’s dads 60th birthday and all the fall things!
That is a busy but fulfilling month!!! And I just know you are super excited now that Halloween is near! 😉
I sure am! Decorating the apartment today 🙂 I have a new pumpkin this year I’ve been not so patiently waiting to display.
Haha, I knew from previous years that there would surely be a new decoration coming out this year! 😉 Have fun decorating!! 🙂 🙂
Germany looks amazing!
So beautiful!!
I’m consistently impressed by all the things you manage to do each month. My introverted self is exhausted just reading about all of this 😂 Also very excited for pumpkin everything and fall colors!
We’ve had a very busy summer! Making up for lost time I suppose. I just bought some pumpkin bars today 🙂
Yum! I haven’t had anything pumpkin yet, but I did try the Starbucks apple crisp macchiato and it’s so good!
Pretty busy time!
Very busy indeed!
You are one busy lady! Fall is my favorite time of year, so I’m looking forward to college football and pumpkin everything. Can’t wait to see your Germany posts!

That was an exciting month. The Germany photos look absolutely stunning and I cannot wait to read all about it.
Thank you! Those were all from my iPhone, I’m looking forward to editing the pics from my camera!
August was a great month for you. The scenery in Germany is amazing. My favorite photo was the lamb chops. I’m looking forward to seeing your fall decorations.
A great month indeed! Germany was so beautiful! I just finished decorating yesterday 🙂

Sounds like you’ve had an exciting month. I can’t wait to read about your trip to Germany!
Also I’m also looking forward to autumn and not sweating. 🤣
I’m excited to share about our Germany trip! It’s been such a hot summer! I have to take a shower after grocery shopping some days, so over that haha
🤣🤣
One of our new neighbors here in South Carolina is a Spartan… married to a Wolverine. Not sure how the roof hasn’t fallen in over there but at least they gave my Irish a little respect (prob because they knew we’d get blown out by Ohio State last Saturday).
Haha sometimes the rivalry works! Jon was very bummed to miss the OSU vs ND game. We couldn’t stream anything while we were in Germany. I don’t think he was rooting for either school haha.

I look forward to reading your posts on Germany, Newport and Montreal. These are beautiful destinations that I will see again through your photos.
Autumn is on our way soon..
