Beppe Trattoria – NYC Fine Dining Italian Restaurant

Hi friends, welcome back! I alluded to quite a few future restaurant posts in my Foodie Friday posts, and now I’m finally getting back to them. This past November, Beppe Trattoria invited me to check out their new restaurant on 56th Street near Columbus Circle and Central Park. Beppe opened in September 2021 and offers a fine-dining Tuscan inspired menu.

Jon and I both chose Rosé to accompany our meal and bread basket. They don’t have a drink menu which I thought was a bit unusual, but they have a fully stocked bar. Hopefully a menu is in development.

For appetizers Jon and I started with the Sal e Peppe Calamari and Gnudi (spinach and ricotta dumplings). The Calamari tasted very fresh and delicious, with the perfect amount of seasoning. The Gnudi also tasted great and was an excellent pairing with the calamari. Beppe prides itself on providing exquisite taste with simple, fresh ingredients and I could definitely tell the high quality of the meal from the start. As beautiful as everything looked, it all tasted even better!

Jon and I typically pick two entrees to share so we ordered the Arista (marinated and roasted whole pork loin with rosemary and parmesan potatoes) and the Rapini E Salsiccia (hot and sweet sausage cooked with garlic, broccoli rabe, and red chili over orecchiette). I’ve never raved about pork before, but the Arista was one of the best protein entrees I’ve ever had. It tasted so tender and sweet, and was prepared to perfection.

The Rapini E Salsiccia also tasted delicious and was a great complement to the pork. I loved the creaminess of the pasta along with the perfect combinations of flavors. I’d recommend both entrees, they were amazing!

We couldn’t decide on which dessert to pick so we ordered the S’mores and the Cannoli. I’d say of the two, the S’mores was my favorite, but they were both winners in my book 🙂

This restaurant is one of the most expensive places we’ve eaten at in the city, but I think the quality and experience match the price compared to other NYC restuarants.

Jon and I left Beppe Trattoria extremely satisfied and full! Beppe Trattoria is the perfect spot for a romantic date night, dinner before a show, or to bring friends and family for an upscale meal. The food tastes incredible, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. If you’re looking for a fine-dining Italian restaurant, Beppe Trattoria is a great option to check out!

    1. Very true!! I might cry tears of happiness on the day I finally can have some pizza, pasta, and gelato in Italy!

  1. I’m so impressed with the presentation of these dishes (no matter how they taste), especially the ricotta dumplings and the pork loin. I’d love to be in the kitchen when they created these “works of art”. All sounded great until you posted the menu. WOW – special occasion restaurant indeed! The prices are as eye-popping as the entrees. Also, I think I’d try the “Stinco” just so I could say I ate something with a name like that.

    1. The presentation was some of the best I’ve ever seen! Truly a work of art! At least for the high price you get quite the experience! The Stinco does sound pretty appetizing haha
