Hi friends, welcome back! I’m crossing another item off on my Christmas Bucket List 🙂 Jon and I started the holiday festivities early with an afternoon at Sippin Santa (aka Boilermaker ten months out of the year). The bar transforms into a tropical North Pole from early November until New Year’s Day and serves holiday inspired drinks in festive glasses. I made a reservation, but they also have spots available to walk up or sit at the bar. I’d recommend making a reservation the closer it gets to Christmas because these pop-up bars become very popular. I was very ahead of the game, so we went mid-November in the afternoon, and it wasn’t super crowded. I will say the tables are quite close together, so I’m glad we went when it wasn’t busy.
We first ordered the Azul Navidad (tequila, mezcal, lime, cream of coconut, blue curacao, hazelnut liquor, and pineapple rum) and the Sippin Santa (aged demerara rum, amaro, lemon, orange, gingerbread mix).
Next round we got the Regifter (Martinique rhum Agricole, caramelized pineapple-garam masala syrup, cherry liqueur, lemon) and Christmas Eve of Destruction (overproof rum, nutmeg syrup, herbal liqueur, lime, aromatic bitters).
This may be one of the most festive menus I’ve ever seen. We also had a buffalo chicken tender sandwich, but it wasn’t anything special. The fries however tasted delicious with an addicting cajun and sugar seasoning.
We had a lot of fun at Sippin Santa and I’d highly recommend stopping in to get a festive drink! They have locations all over the country as well, so maybe there’s one in your area. How’s your Christmas Bucket List coming along?
P.S. Look for us at the Rockefeller Tree lighting tonight! I somehow won tickets to watch the show from the ice rink and I’ll be wearing a green hat with a brownish pom pom on top 🙂 We aren’t supposed to use cell phones during the taping, but hopefully I can get some good pictures to share.
Looks like a great place to get in the holiday “spirits” Lyssy. Some real innovative cocktails with prices to match. Happy December. Allan
Haha I see what you did there 🙂 Happy December!
Lyssy you’re definitely getting in the holiday mood early!
Oh yes my holiday starts right after Halloween 🙂
Atta girl!
Santa should be careful. Too much of this tasty sippin’ and he might get Christmas all screwed up. 🤣
Hopefully Mrs clause is keeping an eye on him 😂😂🎅🏻🎅🏻
Cool place! Did you have a favorite drink?
The Azul Navidad was my fav! I like the fruitier drinks 😂🎄🎅🏻
Sipping Santa looks fun and a good way to get into the holiday spirit. Our trees have just been delivered and we will be decorating them this weekend but now I’m going to have the first of my Lindt chocolates from my advent calendar. Do you have one too?
Sounds like a great weekend! I have a chocolate advent calendar from Trader Joe’s but your Lindt one sounds delicious 😋
I freakin LOVE this place!!!! I’ll be in Dallas this coming weekend – hope to find one close to our hotel 🙂
I went to Sippin Santa in Boston a couple of years ago, it was so much fun and the drinks were delicious!
So fun! I can’t tell if the drinks were strong or not they tasted so good ha!
I love it! I wish we had things like this in England! Those cocktails look amazing 🙂
So festive and delicious 🎄🎅🏻❄️
The mugs and glasses are cool, especially Santa in his dark glasses. Do they let you purchase them?
… and what do you know, there’s one in Denver! Might have to make the drive north after seeing your photos.
I hope you make it, it’s a lot of fun! You can purchase some of the glasses. Maybe one day when I have extra storage space I will 🙂
