Hi friends, welcome back! Today I’m sharing another yummy dessert spot in NYC called Milk & Cream Cereal Bar. Milk & Cream Cereal Bar has been on my list of places to try for quite some time after seeing it all over my Instagram feed. I thought it would be the perfect treat this Valentine’s Day after exploring the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Milk & Cream Cereal Bar is unique because they blend your choice of cereal into the ice cream to make a great flavor. There are so many different flavors and combinations so it’s easy to see why this ice cream shop has become so popular!
Jon and I went to Milk & Cream Cereal Bar around 8:30 pm on a Saturday night and it was packed! While we were in there, there was a steady stream of customers. It’s also a popular spot for Instagram pictures, especially with this cool Treat Yo’ Self sign.
What I loved about this place (besides the delicious ice cream) is that with the Ice Cream Swirl you get to pick your ice cream, one cereal flavor to blend, one topping, and a drizzle without paying extra.
The first choice in the Ice Cream Swirl process is either a cone or cup. I opted for the cup because it seemed a lot more practical and a lot less messy (I would highly recommend the cup). The next choice is either vanilla ice cream or cookie dough. I chose the cookie dough and it was delicious! The ice cream is very thick and rich, and filling without giving you a massive sugar rush. I was surprised that they don’t offer chocolate ice cream, it seems like a popular choice.
I went with Reese’s Puffs as my cereal mix in. I can’t imagine mixing in Fruit Loops or Trix, but people must order it! There are over fifteen cereals to choose from and they have a wide variety offering something for everyone.
The topping was the hardest choice for me. I decided to steer away from my typical Oreo or cookie dough and get the brownie chunks and they were a great, safe choice! A lot of the pictures I see on Instagram have teddy grams as the add in and they’re pretty cute.
For the drizzle, I went with caramel, I’m just not a chocolate sauce kind of gal. Here’s my masterpiece!! My Ice Cream Swirl was delicious!! I would definitely go back and order the same thing.
Jon decided to mix it up and order the Cocoa Dough with cocoa puffs, brownie bites, and cookie dough ice cream topped with cookie dough. I tried a bite and it was delicious!
We had the best time at Milk & Cream Cereal Bar and I would strongly recommend checking it out! It’s a little expensive at $7, but you get a topping and drizzle, and a lot of ice cream, so I would say it’s a great value for NYC ice cream. You could also share the ice cream if you were full from dinner and still be satisfied. All in all, we loved Milk & Cream Cereal Bar and will be returning for more yummy ice cream!
Nice idea…I might try to make that for my healthy dessert….
Let me know how it goes 🙂
look so good
I’ve been so curious about this place! I’m glad it looks as amazing as I’d hoped, I’ll have to try.
You’ll have to try it when you come back 🙂
