Thanksgiving in Michigan 2019

Hi friends, hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and gobbled till you wobbled! I spent Thanksgiving in Michigan with my family and it was so nice being home! I was in town Sunday night through Friday, and flew back before the big travel rush and winter storms. Even though I was home for almost a week, the time flew by, it was an extremely busy week! Jon and I shot our engagement pictures, I decorated my parent’s house (tour coming Wednesday), picked out my veil, and asked my friends to be in my wedding. It was the perfect, jam-packed week!

On Thanksgiving, my parents hosted my grandma and my dad’s Aunt Shirley and Uncle Jerry. I’ve been in Atlanta the last two years, so it was really nice getting to spend the holiday with my family.

My dad started the debate, do people actually like turkey??

Our feast was delicious!! I tried a little bit of everything 🙂 My favorite is the stuffing and sweet potatoes.

For dessert, we had my Aunt Shirley’s world-famous apple pie and some pumpkin pie. So yummy! Our bellies were very full after dinner!!

I’m so thankful that Jon and I could spend Thanksgiving in Michigan this year and spend time with my family. I’ll be home soon for Christmas, it’s crazy that Christmas is only about three weeks away!!

  1. Congrats on your engagement 🎉

Yeah, it’s crazy how short the turn around time is for Christmas. 3 more weeks of school, and I’m back on vacay.

    1. Thank you!! It’s so hard to focus on school work between Thanksgiving and Christmas! Good luck 🙂
