Hi friends, welcome back! Today I’m blogging all about our yummy post-hike cookies from Levain Bakery. This is a famous bakery in NYC that you can’t miss when in NYC, and there’s always a long line outside. I had heard of this place over a year ago and have not stopped seeing it on Instagram since! We finally went this weekend after our hike and it was delicious!
We walked to the location on 74thstreet which is the original, but we got there too close to when it closed and they’d run out of their famous Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookie, so we walked over to the location two blocks north on Amsterdam. The line moved very fast and we found some seating outside to enjoy our treat.
Levain Bakery has four different cookie flavors and we decided to try the Chocolate Chip Walnut and the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip cookies. They also have some other sweet treats as well as coffee, muffins, cakes, breads, and little pizzas. We stuck with the cookies, but everything looked delicious!
We started with the chocolate chip walnut cookie and it was so gooey inside, I have no idea how they do this! The inside is gooey and just melts apart when you split it open, it’s not a cookie dough consistency in the middle. Levain Bakery is known for their gooey cookies, and they sure didn’t disappoint! Now I know what all the hype is about!
We enjoyed the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip cookie afterwards and this one was surprisingly our favorite. We originally were only going to order one, but we decided to order this one too and are sure glad we did!
We loved our Levain Bakery cookies and definitely recommend stopping by and waiting in line if you’re in the city!
