This weekend we celebrated Jon’s birthday and had the best night together! Jon picked Locanda Verde for dinner and it did not disappoint! It is a cute restaurant in TriBeCa that we were able to walk to from our apartment in the Financial District.
We started off with some drinks and appetizers. Jon is the master of Yelp research, so he always knows the best appetizers to get. We got the Sheep’s Milk Ricotta and Lamb Meatball Sliders. They were both delicious, I would highly recommend. The Ricotta is a house specialty, so definitely order that if you like ricotta.
For my entrée I ordered My Grandmoter’s Ravioli and it was so tasty! The inside was filled with short rib and pork and it had the best flavor. I would definitely order this again if I went.
Jon ordered the Malfadine Verde and he enjoyed it as well. The noodles were interesting, and the veal was ground.
We both left so stuffed and had no room for dessert. I’m so glad that we planned to walk home because it felt good moving after all of those carbs! We walked along the West Side Highway and it was the absolute perfect night. It was about 74* and sunny, and the views were pretty great!
We had the best night together and would highly recommend trying out Locanda Verde!
