I am back from a nice and relaxing weekend in Michigan! It’s going to be a great week for me because I have my last three days of work, and then Jon and I are flying south to Savannah before Thanksgiving. Do you all feel like time is flying? I can’t believe that it’s almost Thanksgiving already, where has the time gone. I think this fall flew by for me because I was so busy at work just trying to make it to the next deadline, so it’s nice to finally have some time off soon to solely relax!
I didn’t workout at all while I was home, but for some reason my calves were hurting like crazy Saturday and Sunday. It was painful to walk up and down the stairs! I must be getting old, I think that’s the only explanation. I’m having a hard time getting back into a routine now that I’m travelling so much, but I’m maintaining my strength pretty well. My diet has also been very lax lately, I haven’t been eating much protein or veggies, I think all the Halloween candy at work got me addicted to sugar. My point is that a healthy lifestyle doesn’t mean being perfect and always eating well and working out every day. It’s ok to not be 100% all the time, especially around the holidays when you are traveling and seeing family so enjoy yourself 🙂
