Weekly Workouts 8/13 – 8/19

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend. I worked on Saturday and then saw Crazy Rich Asians with Jon. We both loved it!  Jon and I read the book before seeing the movie, which I would recommend. Tickets to see a movie in NYC are $16 which is crazy! I could buy the movie for less, but that’s NYC for you.

I’m changing up my weekly workouts a bit and adding a “New Move Monday”. This is a move that I show that you can try during your next workout. This first one is called a goblet squat. You hold a dumbbell or kettlebell against your chest and have a very wide squat stance. This move targets your hamstrings and glutes. This differs from a regular squat which will work your quad more. The key for the goblet squat is to go nice and slow so that you can really have a mind-muscle connection and feel the exercise. Try it and let me know what you think 🙂

      • SS Curtsey lunge: 25# 4×8
    • Tuesday:
      • Deadlift: 220# 5×2
      • DB straight leg deadlift: 35# 4×8
    • Wednesday:
      • Complete off day
    • Thursday
      • Bench: 115,120,120 x1, 100# 3×5
      • Arnold press: 25# 4×8
      • Shoulder press: 25# 4×8
      • Bicep Curl: 15# 4×8
    • Friday
      • Squat: 200# 3×1, 150# 3×5
      • Reverse lunge: 25# 4×8
        • SS curtsey lunge: 4×8
      • Saturday
        • Off day
      • Sunday
        • Walk for an hour
