I’m currently obsessed with this recipe! I’ve had a serving every day for the last week, and I’m not ashamed. I choose not to eat red meat so I have to make new recipes with turkey and chicken, otherwise I’ll get sick of them and have to rely on eggs and protein powder to reach my daily protein intake. This recipe came about because of a need to change up my ground turkey before the sight of it would make me not hungry.
I saw a YouTube video with sloppy joe’s being meal prepped and that made me crave them, so I set out to find a healthy and easy recipe. This one only has 5 total ingredients and is quick and easy. It’s great for meal preps because you can make a large batch and freeze some for later.
I eat this plain or with tortilla chips, but you can have it like normal people on a bun like Jon did. So many different options here 🙌🏻
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup of ketchup
- 2 TBS mustard
- 2 TBS brown sugar
- Pinch of salt to taste
Directions
- Cook turkey according to instructions on the package
- Add in ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, and salt
- Mix and let simmer on low for 5 minutes
- Enjoy!
