Upper East Side NYC Halloween Decor 2026 – Part 2

Hi friends, welcome back to part two of my Upper East Side Halloween Tour. If you missed part one, you can check it out here. I’m picking up the tour at 78th Street and making my way south to 61st Street in this installment.

This house was another that was extremely popular. One night I saw on Instagram that they had a live violinist playing.

I’ll end with the beautiful mums on Park Avenue. It was truly the perfect fall day in NYC and I had such a blast seeing all these decorations. I couldn’t wait to get on the train and give my feet a break.

Which townhome was your favorite? Hope you all have a Happy Halloween!

  1. You did have a beautiful day toe explore Lyssy. Those first photos were a real pumpkin patch. So many pumpkins. Do you know what happens to them all? A lot of places here pick them up for animal feed. The musical themed home is an interesting take. It would be nice to see this while the violinist played. Thanks for showing us around NYC at Hallowe’en. Have a wonderful day and a Happy Hallowe’en. Allan

    1. The logistics to get to the city initially were a bit intimidating, but I’m glad I went. It was a lot easier than I thought too. I do not know what happens to all the pumpkins. I think a lot are professionally done so I’m guessing the installation people take them down and hopefully give them to a nice farm. I’m wondering if they had the violinist as their own little opening night. Happy Halloween!

  2. Great shots! The upper west side is looking great as well as far as displays go.

    1. Thank you! Hopefully one year I can make it back to the city a few times to see the UWS, UES, and West Village. I do miss being close to it all at the holidays.

  3. I had no idea that Kelly Ripa’s home is known to the public! Stunning house, nonetheless. Thanks for sharing more of the festive homes in NYC, and have a Happy Halloween this weekend! πŸŽƒ

    1. They did a home tour with Architectural Digest a few years ago and it looks very nice inside! Hope you have a great Halloween!

  4. Wow, they really are so unique and over the top. I can see how the violin themed one would be a huge draw with having a live violinist playing besides.

  5. Some serious property porn here, beautifully decorated for the occasion. I’m assuming that once Halloween is over, they put up Thanksgiving/Christmas decorations? I’m also assuming that these are not DIY jobs but done by professionals.

    1. Definitely! I think most are done by professionals and they would take it down too. Surprisingly not as many people decorate for Christmas. I’d guess maybe 15-20% decorate for Christmas.

  6. I bet you needed to give your feet a break on the train after all of that! I love all these decorations, though the house with the spiders all over it freaked me out a bit!

  7. The variety and effort that have gone into this new series of decorations are impressive. The one at 64th Street between Madison and Fifth seems to me to be the most successful, but it is really the decorations throughout the neighbourhood as a whole that create the atmosphere. In Paris, there are just a few low-key decorations in the shops. However, this evening, I was surprised by the number of children in Halloween costumes out looking for sweets.
