Fall Bucket List 2023

Hi friends, welcome back! In honor of fall starting this weekend I’m sharing my Fall Bucket List. Fall is my favorite time of the year and I love making the most of it. I’ve dreamed of relaxing on the couch and watching football with all my fall decorations and that time is finally here. I’ll wait until October to give you all the full tour, but it makes me happy having my apartment feeling so cozy. I just wish the weather would get the memo that it’s fall, it’s been so hot and muggy lately! Our tickets for the Great Jack O’ Lantern Blaze have been purchased, the pumpkin treats are rolling out, and hopefully we’ll partake in some beautiful fall hikes. Happy Fall!

  1. As usual Lyssy, a true Cornucopia of autumn. This is also our favourite time of the year and we are so lucky to be enjoying the mountains in fall. Happy Monday. Allan

    1. I always thought summer was my favorite time of year, but I can’t stand the heat. Enjoy your time in the mountains!

  2. Wonderful list which I have no doubt you’ll tick off. Fall is still some way off here and as we don’t celebrate Halloween 🎃 we don’t tend to make much of a fuss. I do however swap out some obviously summery decor items but that’s about it. 😞

  3. That’s an ambitious list! I’m curious what goes on a spooky charcuterie board? Fall is my favorite as well and the temperatures have gotten the memo here but the leaves haven’t. Nothing is changing yet. Hopefully fall comes soon for both of us!

    1. I got a ghost platter this year I am excited to use as my charcuterie board. It seems the temps here are either high 70s but the subway platforms feel 90. Hope you have a beautiful fall!

    1. I am the self-proclaimed Queen of Christmas in NYC, I’ve got you covered! I already had a nightmare this week it was Christmas and I forgot to watch all my holiday movies.

  4. Football! Go IRISH! We’re going to the Clemson game this year since we’re only three hours from the Tigers’ campus now. We’ve already had our first (and maybe last) Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte. Good once but a little sweet for my taste, considering I take my morning coffee without sugar. Your post is a reminder Halloween is now a season instead of just a day. I swear the stores around here were stocking costumes and candy in mid-August. Think Dominique Ansel will have a Halloween cronut this year?

    1. MSU is having a rough season and it’s only mid-September, I had low expectations but Mel Tucker really messed up. That will be fun! Hopefully ND can pull off the road win. I always see how much sugar is in a PSL and then never order it. Maybe a one of the pumpkin cold brews would be better. It’s crazy how early the Halloween items come out. I hope they will, this months flavor was an apple rhubarb, but it didn’t have enough flavoring.

  5. Such a fun list! I’m most looking forward to hikes with the colorful leaves, pumpkin and apple treats, and a visit to my sisters’ houses.

  6. Solid bucket list! I’m especially looking forward to cooler weather, since it’s been super warm this past summer. I also can’t wait to wear my warmer clothes for that cozy, autumn vibe. Also have plans to bake pumpkin-based goodies, so I can’t wait! Have a wonderful autumn ahead!

    1. The heat this summer was unbearable. I am ready for all the cozy clothes. Pumpkin based treats are so delicious! Hope you have a great fall too!

    1. For sure! We have a much needed break from traveling until November so I can work on my list 🙂

  7. We will completely miss fall this year, at least at home. Love the pictures of the fall colours and the bridge. Is it from this year already? I thought your trees trumped much later than ours up north. Maggie

    1. Thank you! That is from last year, they peaked the first week of November. They said it was a wet year so we might not get all the fall colors like we usually do.

  8. Yaay! I knew I could count on you for some proper fall inspiration! Now that I am in my new flat I can’t wait to go shopping for fall decorations and create the perfect cosy vibe! Your fall bucketlist is also amazing and I couldn’t help but think that you really do fall differently in America – there are so many cool things to do!
