Hi friends, welcome back! As you know, I’m making my way through my Spring Bucket List and today I’m sharing the beautiful cherry blossoms at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. My friend Liz and I went on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon and it seemed everyone had the same idea as us. The garden was PACKED with people enjoying the day and views, can you blame them?
After entering the park, we made a beeline for the Cherry Esplanade. We ended up going on one of the best days to see the cherry blossom trees and they were absolutely beautiful! The Brooklyn Botanic Garden has a “Cherry Watch” interactive map that shows when the trees are in prebloom, first bloom, peak bloom, and post bloom so you can time your visit perfectly. We kept checking this throughout April and patiently waited for the opportune weekend. As you can see, our patience paid off!
The cherry blossoms looked so fluffy and made the perfect backdrop for photos.
Picnicking is not allowed, but sitting on the lawn is permitted on Cherry Esplanade and in the Discovery Garden, Osborne Garden, and Plant Family Collection.
We walked and talked all over the gardens having the perfect afternoon catching up!
Liz and I loved meandering through the Fragrance and Shakespeare Garden, it smelled heavenly.
Lily Pool Terrace looking serene. They were setting up a wedding nearby that looked beautiful!
We walked through the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden and spotted some turtles. If I was a turtle, I think I would want to live here in this beautiful environment.
We stopped for one last view of the Cherry Esplanade before closing time.

I’d highly recommend seeing the cherry blossoms here, they are so beautiful! Jon and I visited last summer to see the rose garden, and that was gorgeous too. No matter the season, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is the perfect place to spend an afternoon!
