Hi friends, welcome back! Each year, the Macy’s at Herald Square (34th Street) is adorned with beautiful flower arrangements to celebrate the spring season. Per Macys, “This year’s Macy’s Flower Show will bring floral beauty and dazzling scents together to create a multi-sensory experience”. The free show runs from March 27th until April 10th and can be found in the fragrance and handbag departments closest to the 35th Street and Broadway entrances.
This was my first time visiting the flower show, but the inaugural show began in the 1970s. I usually try to avoid this area unless it’s Christmas, but a beautiful flower show seemed like a good reason to return. I went on a Monday afternoon hoping to avoid the inevitable crowds and I will say, it was a very pleasant experience compared to the craziness in December.
This year’s show is a combination of flowers mixed with fragrances from Good Girl by Carolina Herrera, Miss Dior by Christian Dior, Daisy by Marc Jacobs, Donna Born in Roma by Valentino, and FlowerBomb Ruby Orchid by Viktor&Rolf. The mezzanine level hosts a unique display for each fragrance and I loved how different each fragrance was presented. They all smelled heavenly, but my favorite is probably the Miss Dior.
I’m all smiles crossing the Macy’s Flower Show off my Spring Bucket List 🙂 I thought the winter weather was over, but it was only 30* in NYC, so I begrudgingly bundled up.
I loved being surrounded by the bright and cheerful blooms, it was a nice oasis on the bitterly cold day.
As much as I miss the cute Christmas displays, I thought Macy’s did an excellent job adorning the exterior with bright, bold, and beautiful blooms.

I had a delightful time meandering through the Macy’s Flower Show and would highly recommend checking it out if you’re visiting NYC in the spring! I’d also recommend coming during the week to get uninterrupted pictures because Macy’s get extremely busy with shoppers and people trying to capture the perfect Instagram shot. I spent about half an hour viewing the florals, but you could spend as little or as long as you’d like here. The Macy’s Flower Show is definitely worth the trip and I’m looking forward to crossing more items off my NYC Spring Bucket List!
