Halloween Apartment Tour 2025

Hi friends, welcome back and come on in for a festive apartment tour! I had to be extra efficient decorating this year now that Violet is on the move and into everything. I’m already worried for my Christmas tree ha!

I resisted getting any new decorations, but the tour looks slightly different this year. The biggest change is that we moved one of the bookcases from the office into our entry area. We were worried it would make the little hallway tight, but we think it looks great.

We had to get rid of Jon’s desk so now he uses my desk when he works from home.

If you’re wondering what the ropes are out the window are, they are doing building façade repairs, so guys go up and down on carts all day. They’re supposed to be done in November, so we’ll see if they’re still up in my Christmas tour.

This year vs. last year. I just couldn’t find a good spot for the stacking pumpkins and the sign is a liability now.

I left all the candy bowls empty this year because the sun melts everything. Our candy of choice these days are Snickers and Butterfingers.

I am a sucker for cute to-do lists and notepads.

I also love a festive mug for my morning latte.

All the candles in my pumpkins are remote control operated so I turn them on every night and it’s so cozy.

In Violet’s room I got her some festive sheets and updated her bookcase. Between these and the library I think we’ve read every Halloween picture book there is!

I think that’s everything! Hope you enjoyed the tour, thanks for stopping by 😊

  1. Still a beautifully seasonal Hallowe’en home Lyssy. I love how you have already mingled in so much Violet into the decor. As to keeping decorations and baby safe, I still recall a card I got from one of my business associates when we had our first. The outside said “So, you have a New Baby Boy…That should not affect you much” and the inside said, “Unless, of course, you have furniture”. When they get mobile, they are everywhere and into everything. We video visited with our grandbaby last evening and they are nearly 2. They never sat still for the entire hour. Happy Monday. Allan

    1. Thank you! She went from being content sitting to being all over the place in the blink of an eye. We do need to baby proof some things now that she’s climbing on everything. That is one benefit to a smaller space I can see her at all times. Wow already almost two, time sure flies!!

  2. Your place is so beautifully decorated for the upcoming Halloween season and even more special with your new addition to the family. It’s always so hard to resist getting new decorations, as there are so many amazing things in the stores, and one can never have too many pumpkins. This year, we are keeping it simple and just making Jack-o’-lanterns in our home kitchen. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

    1. Thank you! It is extra fun with Violet this year! I’ve really got to be careful when I have a house with a basement to store everything nicely one day. Simple sounds wonderful! Enjoy your fall and Halloween 🙂

  3. Oh yes, I remember those years of both trying to decorate and yet have it baby-proofed at the same time. We had a few years we didn’t put breakable ornaments on the tree but I did feel like the felt ones at the bottom were being taken off and put back on a million times. Your apartment looks adorable and I love that even your daughter’s sheets are festive!

    1. It’s amazing how kids love what they shouldn’t have! I think I will probably keep the really nice ornaments off the tree this year just in case. I did see they make little felt trees for kids but that’s not as fun as the real tree haha. Those sheets are fun she tries to pick off the characters.

  4. The apartment looks festive and cosy, Lyssy. Violet is such a cutie. I like the Halloween-themed sheet in Violet’s crib – adorable. The views from your apartment are amazing!

  5. Fall has really kicked into gear, especially in your apartment! I’m sure it’s a bit different this year, given you have a small child now, and to make sure that nothing is left out as a safety hazard. All the same, lots of cute decorations, and I hope you have a wonderful October ahead! 🙂

    1. Definitely and after today it’s finally starting to feel like fall outside. It seems kids have a knack for finding things they shouldn’t have haha. Hope you have a wonderful October too!

  6. Nicely done with the Halloween decor. And I love that you got Violet some Halloween themed picture books and crib sheet as well. Have you decided what she’s going to be for Halloween?

    1. Thank you! I’d been collecting those books for years because they’re so cute and now she’s got quite the collection. I got her a golden retriever costume which will be very cute now that she’s crawling around.

  7. Looks great! I bet Violet is enjoying all the decorations too. For the Christmas tree the key is to move the fragile ornaments higher up and accept that the lower ornaments may disappear several times a day 😛

    1. Thank you! So true!! It’s amazing how fast their little hands are when they want to grab things.

    1. I did buy Violet a bit of Halloween outfits and pajamas so that was a good trade off to the decor 🙂

  8. SO many temptations for Miss Violet! I’ll bet you never let her out of your sight. Also, I’ve never noticed the window seat before, probably because you didn’t have a desk in it? Perfect fit for the one you have there now Hard to choose a favorite dec. I’ll go with the shelves of Halloween books 🙂

    1. She is into everything these days! When I grab her from the pumpkins she says “no no no no no” in a very annoyed way ha! That desk was there, that’s where I did all my blogging. It is also the perfect fit for the peloton but that would really throw off the aesthetic. I love all the Halloween books too.
