NYC Christmas Decor Master List 2023 – Part Two

Advertisements

Hi friends, welcome back to my NYC Christmas Master List Part Two and the final bit of Christmas decorations I’ll be blogging about. As I mentioned, this post includes decorations worth seeing, but not worthy of their own post. Part two includes everything above 14th Street starting at Madison Square Park. This was the first time I’ve seen this tree at night and it was simple, but stunning.

Grand Central is the most festive transportation hub in the city. This year the holiday market has returned so you can find last minute gifts on your way home.

There is also a transit museum in the back of Grand Central that has a free train display. The track wasn’t very big compared to what we see at the New York Botanical Garden, but you can’t beat free!

The MetLife Building.

The New York Public Library on Fifth Avenue put their tree back up this year and it was beautiful! I love that it is flocked and all the garland inside too. It’s a very elegant tree fitting for the library’s lobby.

Fox New’s patriotic tree kicks off the festiveness on Sixth Avenue.

1221 Sixth Avenue is a relatively new decoration and great photo op.

Radio City is always such a classic site with the giant ornaments, candy canes, and Radio City Music Hall. One day we’ll make it inside to see the Christmas Spectacular featuring the Rockettes.

The Mall at Columbus Circle has their hanging luminaries that change color while the city rushes by in the background.

Across the street the Columbus Circle Holiday Market is the smallest market in NYC, but has a good assortment of eats and gifts.

Tavern on the Green keeps their tree a bit hidden and only accessible to restaurant guests, but I was able to get a quick picture.

Central Park is a pretty scenic place to ice skate, but I always wonder why the rink is shaped oddly.

I always love the Bloomberg Tower trees.

Last but not least, I found some holiday cheer on the Upper East Side. Not as many decorate compared to Halloween time, but I loved the mix of extravagance and simplicity.

This one belongs to Kelly Ripa

I didn’t make it to Dyker Heights this year, but this neighborhood really goes all out for Christmas. These pictures are from my 2022 blog post.

The New York Botanical Garden’s holiday train show is another display we didn’t make it to (I dragged Jon to the Jonas Brothers concert instead) but it’s always a great spot to visit around the holidays.

That concludes my Master List of Christmas decorations in NYC! What was your favorite decoration in Part Two?
