Hi friends, welcome back! Two years ago, I shared my perfect day in NYC, and I thought it would be fun to share an updated version now that I’ve been around the block a few more times. I want to make a disclaimer that this day is not quite realistic and includes an assumption that I won’t be super full after every meal, time/logistical constraints don’t exist, and that it’s a beautiful spring/summer day 🙂 With all that in mind…let’s get this dream day started!
I’m starting this perfect day waking up refreshed, feeling great, and having a good hair day! I love starting my day with a big cup of coffee, so I’d head to the Starbucks Reserve and split a flight of cold brew coffee with Jon (I’m bringing him along for my perfect day). We find a table outside in the shade and enjoy people watching in the Meatpacking District while we get caffeinated.
After coffee, we will walk along the High Line getting some fresh air and steps in. While we walk, we take in the flowers blooming, birds chirping, and there are no people getting in our way.
All the walking and fresh air makes us hungry so we’re going to Sunday in Brooklyn for brunch and ordering their famous Sunday in Brooklyn pancakes with a beary cute drink
After brunch, we’re going north to Central Park to walk our sweet golden retriever (remember this day is a dream with no rules) around and enjoy the beautiful day. After a while I’ll lay out a pretend portable hammock to lay down, people watch, and read my book.
Eventually it will be time for dinner, and this is the hardest decision of my perfect day in NYC because there are so many delicious places to eat at. I’m going to pick Gelso & Grand so I can have a wood fire pizza and pasta for dinner with a Moscow Mule to drink
I can’t end the day without dessert, another tough choice, so I will head to Milk & Cream Cereal Bar and order a bowl of cookie dough ice cream, with Oreo O’s blended in, topped with brownie bites and cookie dough, and drizzled in caramel. I love this dessert spot because you get a combination of ice cream, brownie, and cookie dough, and it always tastes amazing.
For the finale of this perfect day, I’ll watch the sunset at Battery Park 🙂
I hope you enjoyed this pretend perfect day in NYC featuring all of my favorite spots. I loved day dreaming this day while I patiently wait for spring to show itself throughout the city 🙂
