Halloween Decor Tour 2021

Hi friends, welcome back and come on in for a Halloween decor tour! I have so much fun decorating for the holidays and sharing the festiveness with you all. Iโ€™ve been slowly adding an item or two to my collection each year and I love how the decorations make our apartment feel fun and cozy, especially at night. I hope you are reading this with a fall scented candle and maybe a pumpkin spice latte or other festive fall drink ๐Ÿ™‚ P.S. the ghost on this shirt glows in the dark ha!

This table is my absolute favorite area to decorate in the apartment. Last year I had my eye on this black metal pumpkin, but it sold out before I could make my move. This year I snagged it right after Labor Day and was probably the first person to order it ha! I donโ€™t mess around when it comes to holiday decor. I thought it matched nicely with my lanterns and I love the orange glow at night. Everything is on a timer, and it makes me so happy when all the candles turn on.

The little pumpkins are also new this year and were given to us by Jonโ€™s mom. I love the little pop of color they add, and theyโ€™ll be very easy to store! The BOO sign we found in Vermont at the cutest bookstore and for some reason I almost always forget that we have it, but I love this new home for it.

Moving into the kitchenโ€ฆI have a spoon rest obsession. Iโ€™m not sure why, but I love having the perfect spoon rest for each season/holiday. I have cute little bowls for some Halloween candy. If these bowls were filled with peanut M&Ms they would be empty by the time I took pictures, luckily target was out of stock when I went ha! Either way, Iโ€™m a sucker for holiday colored m&ms no matter what flavor. I will say, the candy corn has hardly been touched. Are you a candy corn fan?

A little ghost to help make washing dishes more fun.

My kitchen windowsill is decorated a little different this year, but these BOO letters are one of my favorite Halloween decorations. Iโ€™m also a sucker for any pumpkin you can put a candle or string lights in.

No holiday is complete without the proper utensils. For some reason I only bought two of each of everything and now they donโ€™t sell the style anymoreโ€ฆrookie mistake!

Funny story with this skull wine stopper… I ordered one from Pottery Barn, and a large box showed up. I thought this was odd because I know wine stoppers are small, so I open the box, and there are four more boxes. I then opened one of the smaller boxes and there were six wine stoppers in there! Some were broken, but I still have about twenty in a box ha!

I also have an obsession with dish towels (especially dog ones), I think theyโ€™re such an inexpensive, fun way to decorate. Plus they take up was less room than if I had a throw pillow obsession.

Moving into the living room, I changed up this window a bit this year also. I got these dry fern type things from Trader Joes, I am hoping they will last all season and donโ€™t shed all over the couch. So far this banner has fallen down twice since itโ€™s gone up, but I still love it.

I love this frosted pumpkin, especially when it glows at night!

My final window is the same as last year, except I put a cinnamon brush from Trader Joeโ€™s behind the sign and every so often I get a slight scent of it. This is my last lit pumpkin and I love the festiveness of it.

The only other decoration I have is this sign we keep in the little hallway to the bedroom and bathroom.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all enjoyed the festive fall tour!

  1. Looks like you are ready or Hallowe’en Lyssy. Candy at Hallowe’en is dangerous for me. We would always buy the treats we would want to eat, in case there left overs…and there always were. Stay well. Allan

    1. Very ready indeed ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‘ป I like the Halloween themed candy wrappers. We donโ€™t get truck or treaters in our building

  2. Someday you & Jon are going to live on a street where your neighbors tell their friends during the holidays, “There’s this house you absolutely MUST see!” Also, your first photo raises an interesting question, Lyssy. Are you left-handed? The mug I used this morning has a design which faces out when held in the left hand. So I never thought about it before. Is a mug design meant for the holder or is it meant for everybody else? Finally, I expect you’ll hear from several candy corn haters out there. A handful is usually enough for me, but somehow it tastes best this time of year.

    1. Ah yes life goals, I am looking forward to having a front porch to fill with pumpkins eventually! I am right handed, although I was holding the mug with my left so I could take the picture with my right hand. That’s an interesting question, I think most mugs with a decoration on one side I have all face inward if you hold the mug in your right hand. I agree with the handful, seems like eating a little candy corn is a Halloween right of passage.

  3. I don’t decorate for Halloween, but I love seeing how others decorate their homes! I love your spooky shirt. ๐Ÿ˜‚

The black pumpkin looks lovely next to your lanterns, and they look even better when they glow!๐ŸŽƒ The little dish towels are cute, especially the one with the dog holding a pumpkin. The stacked pumpkins are amazing!

I enjoyed your festive fall tour; thank you for sharing! I hope you have a spooktacular Halloween! ๐Ÿ‘ป ๐ŸŽƒ

    1. Thank you!! The glass I got at Nordstrom rack two years ago and the boo from Avon Maur ๐ŸŽƒ
