Hi friends, welcome back! This past weekend we finally made it back to Central Park for the first time since our maternity pictures a year ago. It was a warm, sunny day and we made it just in time to see all the beautiful fall colors. We weren’t sure how much of the park we’d see, but Violet loved the change of scenery so we ended up walking the whole length of the park. Our walk started at the northern most part of the park overlooking Harlem Meer. This area has been under construction for a few years and is finally almost done. They’ve added a large public pool and walking paths.
This is what it looked like April 2024.
The Conservatory Garden is one of my favorite parts of Central Park although I think it looks best in the spring when the cherry blossoms are blooming.
The skyline in NYC has forever changed with the addition of JP Morgan’s new headquarters. It is the one that is tiered like a wedding cake on the left hand side.

The Pool is one of my favorite spots for fall photos.
It was a beautiful walk! The further south we got, the busier the park got. Everyone had the same idea as us to enjoy the one of the last nice days before the parkas come out.
We made it to Bethesda Fountain overlooking The Lake and The Boat House.
Bow Bridge is always the best spot to photograph the fall colors.
The Mall had sadly lost all its leaves.
The ice rink is open for the season!
Last but not least, Gapstow Bridge and The Pond.
I hope you enjoyed this fall tour! I somehow hadn’t posted a full tour since 2022! We had such a great time introducing Violet to Central Park and enjoying the perfect fall day. It’s hard to beat fall in NYC! This officially wraps up fall on the blog. Next week I’ll be switching over to Christmas mode starting with my bucket list 🙂 I saw this on my walk yesterday, the city is getting ready!
