Hi friends, welcome back! While my apartment is still a work in progress, I’ll take you on a tour of my parents’ house. In mid-November I flew to Michigan to continue my tradition of decorating thier house for Christmas. I can’t quite remember when I took over the decorating, but it’s something I look forward to every year. I like to make it look the same each year and now that I have my blog posts to reference, I can be very efficient. I don’t have much new to say this year, so come on in for a holly jolly tour 🙂
One of my favorite parts of the decorations is the garland up the stairs. It looks so pretty and festive at night. Hopefully my future house will have stairs I can decorate!
In the living room my dad decorates this tree with the fancier ornaments.
Above the kitchen sink features the adorable collection of snowmen.
The more garland the merrier!
The Santas are my favorite part of decorating and you’ll see my growing collection when I share my holiday apartment tour.
As you can see, I’ve always loved Christmas 🙂
You may remember last year I almost accidentally killed Jon while decorating and the same ornament fell from the railing this year. I don’t think I’ll hang it there next year because I’m not sure if the saying “third times a charm” means it will stay, or it will make contact with someone. Don’t need any Christmas casualties 😉
Last but not least, this giant tree! Decorating the tree is actually my least favorite part of decorating. Maybe because it takes the longest? The tediousness is worth it because the tree always looks so beautiful when it’s done.
I hope you enjoyed this tour! Have you finished decking your halls?
