What’s Up: July 2022

Hi friends, welcome back! I’m taking a quick break from my Paris series for my What’s Up monthly post. July was a very busy month! We started off spending the Fourth of July in Newport, Rhode Island touring the Gilded Age Mansions, eating delicious food, and partaking in the beautiful cliff walk. It was the perfect change of pace from our jam-packed Paris & London trip. The rest of the month our weekends were booked in the city checking out new restaurants and trying to stay cool. It’s hard to believe it’s already almost August, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t wishing for fall!

On to my post 🙂 I’ve been linking up with my first blogger I ever read, Shay Shull, for my What’s Up posts. Each month I’m answering the following questions:

What I’m eating: I’m going to have a packed Foodie Friday next week. My food Instagram has been steadily growing and I’ve had the opportunity to work with some awesome restaurants in NYC! If you’re a Trader Joe lover like me, I’d highly recommend grabbing these oat bars. I bought them on a whim and now they’re my new obsession and perfect for this heat!

What I’m reminiscing about: the fall! I realized that I don’t love summer. I cannot stand the hot and muggy temperatures and being lathered in sunscreen. I want to be cozy and watch football surrounded by my pumpkins 🙂

What I’m loving: Jon and I have been getting coffee Saturday mornings and sitting along the Hudson River, it’s the best way to start the day. We grab our groceries after so we can relax and have fun the rest of the weekend!

Favorite post of the month: I’ll have to pick my favorite day in Paris, our trip to Versailles! This Palace was so incredible and must be seen to believe the true opulence.

What I’m Up to: I’ve been reliving my Paris memories this month with my Paris & London Anniversary series! I’m starting to work on my London posts, so hopefully those will be ready mid-August 🙂

What I’m working on: our itinerary for Germany and Austria! We are going to be in Munich, the Bavarian Alps, and Salzburg.

What I’m excited about: visiting two new countries!

What I’m watching/reading:

We are watching season 2 of Murders in the Building, it’s hard to wait each week for the new episode to come out. We are also watching Hawkeye, a Marvel show, and it takes place right before Christmas in NYC so you know I love it! We also watched Severance on Apple TV and it was very different. It started very slow, but the last few episodes made up for it. We just started the newest season of Virgin River on Netflix and we had forgotten how cheesy it was!

Books I read this month:

I’m currently at 22/40 books for the year.

What I’m doing this weekend: lots of brunching!

What I’m looking forward to next month: our trip to Germany & Austria!

What are you looking forward to next month?
