What’s Up: May 2022

Hi friends, welcome back and hello from London! Jon and I had a blast in Paris checking out all of the major sights and eating all the baguettes. We are looking forward to seeing London and visiting Windsor too. I’ll keep this post somewhat Paris themed as a preview because my vacation posts will probably take me a bit to finalize. Our favorite parts of the trip so far were a day trip to Versailles, going up the Eiffel Tower, exploring the Louvre, and touring the Paris Opera House.

On to my post 🙂 I’ve been linking up with my first and favorite blogger I ever read, Shay Shull, for my What’s Up posts. Each month I’m answering the following questions:

What I’m eating: If we stayed in Paris any longer I might have turned into a baguette based on the amount we ate. We had one every day and they were delicious!

What I’m reminiscing about: our one-year wedding anniversary! It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since the big day, the time has flown by! I hired a Parisian photographer to take anniversary pictures so I’m excited to get those back.

What I’m loving: travelling abroad! I’ve dreamed of going to Europe again ever since Jon and I got back from our trip to Scotland in May 2019. I love seeing the world and exploring new places and it makes me so happy to be travelling internationally again!

Favorite post of the month: my Angels Landing hike! Even though I didn’t complete the hike, the journey up there was beautiful!

What I’m Up to: currently on our much anticipated anniversary trip to Paris and London

What I’m working on: finishing my blog posts from my trip out west before I forget anything! My Paris and London posts will take me a while so stay tuned 🙂

What I’m excited about: we’re heading to London today so I’m excited to see the city. I’m also excited to see Mamma Mia one night, I love the movie and I’ve been wanting to see the play for years!

What I’m watching/reading:

We’ve been watching Under The Banner of Heaven on Hulu and love it! It’s a murder mystery based on a true story. We’ve also been enjoying the final season of This Is Us, the final few episodes have been tear jerkers and now we only have the finale left! Next we will watch Working Moms and probably Outlander.

Books I read this month:

What I’m doing this weekend: we will be having our last full day in London and then flying home. I’m looking forward to rehydrating once we are home and I don’t have to be out all day. I’m also looking forward to getting back on my yoga mat. We’ve been walking about ten miles a day and I can feel it.

What I’m looking forward to next month: we’re seeing Billy Joel in concert, spending a long weekend in Montreal, and celebrating Jon’s birthday! This summer is jam packed with fun and it makes me a bit exhausted thinking about it, but also super excited!

What are you looking forward to in June?
