Hi friends, welcome back! This summer Funny Face Bakery opened a location in the Seaport District near our apartment, so Jon and I decided to check it out and buy some sweet treats. I first saw Funny Face Bakery on Instagram and their uniquely decorated sugar cookies instantly caught my attention. I knew they would be a fun treat to share with you all 🙂
Funny Face Bakery opened in 2016 in a small bakery in the East Village. Their swiss meringue butter cream cupcakes first brought the bakery into the spotlight. Soon after, the original funny face cookies of the 2016 presidential candidates faces went viral and demand skyrocketed! From there, custom faces became a hit before Funny Face Bakery rolled out the Pop Culture cookies and the rest is history. Nowadays they have almost 40k Instagram followers and sell out frequently.
In addition to the sugar cookies, they also have massive chocolate chip cookies that rival Levain Bakery. Jon and I also picked up a funfetti cookie freshly out of the oven.
I couldn’t leave the bakery without getting the infamous Kim Kardashian crying cookie. It’s just too funny!
At Funny Face Bakery, you can also do custom orders and corporate gifting. Some of their famous clients include Lululemon, Old Navy, and Kris Jenner. The options are endless at this fun bakery! In my opinion, the chocolate chip and funfetti tasted better than the sugar cookie. The sugar cookie cost $12 which is quite expensive for a cookie, but they are all intricately custom decorated so I suppose it could be justified. Nonetheless, I’d recommend checking out Funny Face Bakery for some hilarious and delicious cookies! Which Funny Face would you pick?
