Hi friends, welcome back! Halloween is quickly approaching and I’m making my way through my Fall Bucket List. Last week I enjoyed strolling through the West Village to find the best Halloween decorations. It seems the West Village decorations are less over the top and more “fall” themed than the neighborhoods uptown. I do appreciate that they are concentrated on a few blocks so you can enjoy the fun without a huge time commitment. Some highlights from my tour:
It doesn’t get more NYC than a pigeon display and this one at 41 Bethune is a great way to start the tour.
Jane Street between Greenwich St. and Washington St.
12th Street between W 4th Street and Greenwich Ave.
Banks Street between Bleeker St and W 4th St.
My favorite is the display on 11th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue. This café scene gets a 10/10 in my books!
Some other displays on the street.
11th Street between Washington St and 7th Avenue.
Perry Street between Bleeker St and 7th Avenue.
Charles Street between Bleeker St and 7th Avenue.
An honorable mention to this tour is Chelsea Market, which is technically not in the West Village, but it’s not a far walk. They usually have more decorations but this year they kept it minimal.
This map includes the general area of where all these decorations are:
What do you think of the West Village halloween decorations? Up next is part one of my Upper East Side tour 🙂
