Hi friends, welcome back to my last What’s Up post of the year! Whew, November sure flew by! I was on the move again starting with a trip to Michigan to decorate my parent’s home and attend my best friend Beth’s baby shower. We’ve been friends since preschool so it’s cool to be there for each other’s big life moments. The following weekend Jon and I flew to Nashville to celebrate his old roommate’s wedding. We spent Thanksgiving with my family, and now we’re back in NYC until Christmas. Almost all the decorations are up so I’ll have a very busy next few weeks of seeing all the festiveness around the city. I sure love this time of year!
On to my post 🙂 I’ve been linking up with the first blogger I ever read, Shay Shull, for my What’s Up posts. Each month I’m answering the following questions:
What I’m eating: no trip to Nashville would be complete without some Hattie B’s hot chicken. They sure give massive portions, our meals were $12 and $14 for all that food and sides! We also went to The Row Kitchen and Pub and I got some pancakes and Jon got an egg scramble.
What I’m reminiscing about: our Christmas tree in 2017 and how many memories and ornaments we’ve added since. I even have to decorate the back now because we have so many ornaments.
What I’m loving: all the decorations around the city. We saw the Wall Street tree being put up and it is such a process!
Favorite post of the month: my parents visit in NYC. I loved showing them around all my favorite places and of course eating all the delicious food.
What I’m Up to: I’ve been a busy elf decorating for Christmas. I shared my apartment decorations on Monday and I’ll be sharing my parents’ home tomorrow.
What I’m working on: making my way through my Christmas Bucket List and getting all my blog posts ready to go!
What I’m excited about: this is my favorite time of year, I’m excited about everything except that it gets dark at 4:30 now..
What I’m watching/reading: The Morning Show, The Santa Clauses, The Middle, Frasier, football, and Christmas movies
Books I read this month: I’ve officially completed my goal of reading 36 books this year. I found this picture of me as a kid, I’ve always been a book worm.
- Nash’s Ashes by Sarah Adler
- Bad Summer People by Emma Rosenblum
- The Guest by Emma Cline – this book made me mad, nothing ever happened in it
- The Wake-Up Call by Beth O’Leary
What I’m doing this weekend: watching some college football, maybe baking some peanut butter blossom Christmas cookies…we have no real plans this weekend.
What I’m looking forward to next month: all the Christmas things!
What are you looking forward to in December?
