Portland Day 3

Day 3 was my favorite day of the trip and consisted of another full day of hiking. We picked up Kristen from the airport and headed to the South Falls Historic District for a waterfall filled hike. You can read about Day 1 and 2 here.

This hike was my favorite because of all the waterfalls. They were so beautiful and not something I see very often in Michigan or New York.

There were over 10 big waterfalls along with little ones along the path. There were a few that we could walk behind.

The air was so refreshing and I loved being surrounded by nature and unplugging. I was taking it all in and enjoying the time out of the office and away from my desk. This was the perfect after busy season trip.

After we got back we walked downtown to a block type party. There were beer carts and a lot of young people and dogs everywhere. We met up with my cousin who also lives in Portland.

I was getting pretty hangry so my mom and I went to 10 Barrel while everyone else was finishing their drinks. It was the first real food that I had in a while. I had been eating a lot of protein bars because we were hiking all day, and I desperately needed real food. I ordered the Portland Salad with a side of salmon that was delicious and fresh.
