Hi friends, welcome back! We had the best weather in NYC last week and I took full advantage by heading to Central Park in search of the cherry blossoms. I wish you could jump inside these pictures and experience them in real life because it was the perfect day in Central Park. The sun was shining, it was about 65*, and it smelled like fresh flowers. I had a very difficult time narrowing down which pictures to include so I hope you enjoy the few words and lots of pictures today 🙂
I’m starting this two-part series with the northern end of Central Park and working my way down. The cherry blossoms are blooming early this year, but the rest of the trees are still catching up.
The Conservatory Garden along Fifth Avenue and 106th Street is always one of my favorite spots. It’s so peaceful because not many people make it this far north.
The North Garden at the Conservatory Garden is currently under construction, but the South Garden opened back up recently and it was so lovely! I’m so glad NYC has this serene area in the middle of the city.
North Meadow is ready and waiting for kickball and baseball games. Can you spot some of NYC’s most famous buildings in the background?
The Pool isn’t showing many signs of spring, but the ducks were enjoying the nice day too.
Walking under the canopy of cherry blossoms surrounding the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir was my favorite part of my walk. Maybe I’m biased, but it seems Central Park is really showing off this year!
It was the perfect spring day and it made me happy seeing everyone out enjoying it.
Today’s tour ends at the majestic looking Belvedere Castle. It was built in 1872 as a place to enjoy the views of the park and is now a visitor center with a gift shop.
