Lyssy’s Eats: Pies’N’Thighs

After our workout in Brooklyn, we were pretty hungry and wanted to grab a bite. We went to Pies’N’Thighs, which is a little hole in the wall type place. It was pretty small inside and very quaint. They played 50s music that was really catchy and had a homey vibe. It reminded me of being in a small town diner.

The menu was pretty small, but we heard they were known for their fried chicken so that narrowed down the selection a bit.

I ordered the chicken and waffles because I have been curious for a while now. I wasn’t sure if I would like it or not, but I ended up really liking it. I usually stay away from anything fried, but sometimes I’ve got to live a little. I was expecting a fried chicken patty, but got two pieces of fried chicken (bones freak me out, but I handled myself well).  I didn’t earn the clean plate award, but it was very good! I would definitely order this again.

Jon got the Fried Chicken Basket with baked beans as his side. He liked it, and he would try the chicken biscuit if we ever go back.

For dessert we got a s’mores pie, it was too good not to pass up.

The meal was great because we were full, but not in a food coma the rest of the day, and that’s very important. The portion sizes were just right and the prices were very reasonable. If you’re ever in Brooklyn, give Pies’N’Thighs a try.
